[sputters of din]

to sponge in the ceaseless
murmurs of one-hundred
stodgy conversations over

the clinks and swizzles
of tarnished coffee spoons

the shatter crash landings
of silverware and saucers

the soft lead scribbles
of aspiring poets and

scribes essaying to
purge onto parchments

concise sputters of din
from the vast cosmos
aswirl in their minds.
