I've discovered a personal truth about a month ago. It's neither good nor bad. It would appear to be my natural center and where I revert to unconciously. Maybe it will not be forever and ever. Maybe it will continue. It hasn't always been the case. Simply put, right now I can be very literal minded. If someone asks rhetorical questions, my instinct is to answer them. If I'm given the task to illustrate a poem (which is what Creativity Exchange is quite a bit of the time) I will illustrate literal images and graspable thoughts. At least, I will if I can't think beyond what appears to be the obvious illustrative points.
One half of this week's CE is below. To see TheRacket's half, head over to his blog. You won't be sorry, I'm sure. Remember, words are by TheRacket and final image is by me. Though I got the original image from a stock photo site, from m constant: http://www.sxc.hu/profile/m_constant.
[beyond the frame]
i woke up this morning
and the world
had gone away
i opened the shades
to see white
light and
nothing
just empty space
no texture
no heat
no color
everything
beyond the frame
gone
no motion
no sound
nothing
i wanted to gasp
to shout
to ask what happened
but my voice
has run away
with the world
and i
am left to fade
fade out
with the last day's light
